I went looking around for a sight pusher a few weeks ago.,

I bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 after much searching to find exactly what I was after. Although what I got was BNIB, it came with Tru-Glo sights installed and I am not a fan of them. Not knowing what model to buy, or alternately who to borrow one from, I did some digging around with some of my friends. What they pointed me towards was $200 for the one set and $600 for the other.

Then I found a match for what I needed at Glockstore.com

I was concerned about buying this tool. Not big name. Unknown materials. Limited feedback. Yadda yadda.

So I called the store and asked for more information about it. An actual human answered the phone rather than some machine promising a call back... whenever. That's always a promising start. The guy I talked to was also genuinely interested in the process of making sure I was comfortable with the product I would be getting. Also a big plus because I don't waste my time spending money on a-hole vendors who act like I'm wasting theirs. Finally, I was told that they use them on their own benches at the shop.

Good enough for me. I pulled the trigger and ordered a set. (along with hundreds of dollars worth of other Glock ####. Why waste shipping right?)

I received the package and unboxed the tool about a week later.

It is just as it looks; a substantial piece of tool steel. As per instructions I padded my Glock 19 slide. First I removed a set of Tru-Glo sights. The TGs were completely unmarked by the process and movement with the 3/4" socket drive was effortless. Next I installed my XS Big Dots. Again, this process came off with zero effort.

I Posted my new sight puller to Facebook and enough friends asked me about it that I was taking pictures of other guns like 1911 Colt to show them that it could work well with other guns also.

No padding here. Just demonstrating suitability for 1911 sights to someone who asked. The picture shows more clearly that the part that interfaces to the sight is straight on one side and slanted on the other to accommodate a wide variety of sights.

As per the instructions in the site video, you need to take care to pad the work piece appropriately. I used a simple cleaning rag and it worked exactly as expected with zero marring, but you could easily use a piece of closed cell foam, some soft rubber or whatever else moved you.

Sorry for the crap images. They were taken with an iPad instead of a camera proper, but you should get the general idea.

For under $60? I have no buyers remorse whatsoever.

ETA: As I was asked elsewhere, I might as well include that I ordered other things with this package and the shipping total still rang in around a gentle $32 bucks -- from package source all the way to North of Phuck, Alberta.

Here's a final pic of my IGB barreled Gen 4 wearing its XS Big Dots.

Curious if you have shot lots yet with the "big dot" and how you like them? I went for the Trijicon HD sights, the front is also a very large orange dot and I really like them actually on the Glock.

I installed these about 3 hours ago, so haven't fired them yet.

Weekend's looking good though ;)

Seriously speaking, I detest three dot systems in every iteration so these (much like straight-8s) will definitely get the job done for me.

Thanks for that review. Not sure i ever would have found that site by accident.
K.I.S.S. + doooh why didn't i think of that and $60 bucks = win.
