I will post some pics of the completed pistol when I get home and put the slide, barrel, and mag well on

looking good… Why did you go for a non ported barrel ? I am looking at some upgrades for my G22 G4 and a Ported Barrel is what I am reaching pro/cons...

So ranger report after putting 300 rounds through it tonight, I love it! Took me a good 50-100 rounds to get used to the dot sight and getting my aim and sight picture on it correct. Then it was just a dream, the green dot really shows how much I was twitching when I dont have myself settled, but once I got it dialed in it was great. I used a bore laser that I bought to dial in the dot sight before I hit the range so it was pretty bang on

Target is my last 50 rounds I shot at between 7-10 yards

Honestly they didnt offer me any porting, I asked for the best barrel they could sell me with the most amount of machining done and thats what I got. I am not even sure if they offer porting

I just recently got a G21C, so I am just getting familiar with a ported barrel. And right now I cant say for sure if that actually makes a difference in my shooting. I like the flames that spit out of it when I shoot it in videos. I will say that it does make a mess of the inside of the gun and the barrel however, I have put less rounds through it then I have my 17 and it go way dirtier on the inside of the slide and around the barrel. It almost looks like rust

So I dont know Im still on the fence about ported barrels. I do have another barrel on order with ZEV for the 21 also, so once I get that I will be able to do a back to back ported vs non ported barrel test

so hows the trigger pull like? weight?

Butter! Pretty much everyone that has tried my gun has said its the best Glock trigger they have ever felt. I let an older lady try it the other day at a pumkin shoot at my range, she had a Glock gen4 17 also. She was doing ok but not great, basically out of 10 rounds only a few would actually hit the pumkin. I let her try my gun and instantly she put all 10 in a 1" group, she had the biggest smile and said it was the best pistol she has shot so far. For like an hour after that she kept asking me the brand and name of the trigger so she wouldn't forget, so she could buy one for her pistol. I had Trijicon sights on it also at the time so those helped but I think the trigger did more for her then the sights.

I believe the instructions said its a 2.5 or 3.5 lb trigger pull depending on how much of the kit you install. I used every spring so mine should be on the lightest possible of that scale. most peoples eyes bulge out when they dry fire it, its that light

Only problem is now my other Glocks feel like crap, its ok though because I have more trigger kits on order for all of them

where did you purchase all the ZEV parts? Questar is about 3 to 8 weeks order wait and how much did it all cost you?
I'm also thinking about a major upgrade like yours

When I ordered the first 3 times they were selling right off their site and shipping up to $500 value to canada. Now they stopped doing that so everything I order from them has to use an exporter. I use IRUNGUNS, and this latest batch of parts took 3 months, half that time for zev to manufactur the parts and the rest for export/import

That's a slick looking glock....love the zev look..

Thanks and yeah I chose Zev for 2 reasons over other companies like lone wolf. I read they were better in terms of quality and design, but also I liked their styling better. If you look at a lot of the other companies slides and machining they are a little cheesy looking IMO. Zev has a simple more tasteful style IMO

Wait a minute.....! There's a guy on here who, when he sees what you've done, will strike you down with bolts of lightning from his arse because he thinks you don't need to modify any Glock. And if you do, you're headed for damnation inside the firey gates of hell.

just kidding......or am I?

To each their own, I try not to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do to their firearms. I try to just comment on what I have done and what I like and don't like, and with every hobby you have to take all comments or suggestions with a grain of salt. I come motorcycles being my main hobby, and I do custom builds and powdercoating for people, so sometimes I get guy wanting me to paint their wheels hot pink or some color that IMO for me would never fly, I just try to be un biased and do whatever they like done, I may suggest something that is more my style, but instead of saying "dont do that its ugly" Id say "personally thats not my style, but if thats your style it will look good"

Personally I am a modifying and customizing kind of guy, and thats why Im playing with the Glocks to start my shooting and working on guns experience. For me I have found the Glocks to be the Honda civic of handguns, huge aftermarket parts market, and for the most part a lot of them actually really improve the guns performance. And they are stupid simple to work on. And I also find that a lot of the higher end guns like HK etc are already so nice right out of the box there really is not that much that can be improved on, like the slides for example they are already nicely machined, compared to the Glock which is just s square block lol...People also like to knock the reliability factor with modified guns, but for me noting being able to conceal carry and just using this as a range gun, if it breaks it breaks and I just go home early and fix it. And now since I have changed out basically every part, I have another frame on the way, so I will be able to assemble another complete 17 that will remain 100% stock.

For me the trigger alone really improved my shooting, and Ive seen other people that try it experience the same. I dont really feel like shooting my other Glocks right now because its such a better shooter.

My next pistol I think I want to go higher end and more competition focused, I tried a CZ 75 and I have tried a Tanfoglio Xtreme Stock 2, both really nice shooters, but the Tanfoglio really felt special!

I don't mind the stock g17 trigger, but a lighter trigger can't hurt the accuracy.

I have the glock stock for range fun and it really helps accuracy at 50m

I am new so trigger control is improving every time I go, everything is improving actually. The pistol is way more capable then I am
