Glove gun

Hope this is not a repeat... but I just saw movie The Inglorious Bastards and
saw the Glove pistol. I remember seeing something about this real OSS
weapon many years ago. What is known about it?? I checked my books with no avail. Seemed sort of lame but interesting.

There was an article on it in Arms Collector magazine (I think) a couple years ago. They said they were actually designed for heavy equipment operators working in the Pacific in WWII. That way if there was a Japanese soldier that popped out of the jungle with a knife on a kamakaze run, all the driver had to do was get one punch in.
