Glow Ammo - Cold tracers that are indoor range safe

So the initial flash of the round going off charges some glow in the dark paint on the back of the bullet pretty clever. If you reload your own ammo you could do the same effect but better for cheaper by using green high quality glow powder because red glow powder is very inefficient. I would use this stuff right here.

It's been tried by others and it doesn't work.

While the compound in Glow Ammo reacts to light, it also reacts to other properties of the gun powders burning (heat and pressure). The compound has 2 milliseconds to charge with light based upon the combustion of the powder and its trip down the barrel. Also, by hitting it with a light it's only partially "charged" (for lack of a better word). Once charged by the gun powders ignition it will radiate light 4x's brighter than what you see in the video with the flash light being used to charge it.
 
what good are tracers period... they are intended for machine guns that fire a lot of bullets and bounce around, to make sure they are staying on target. :50cal:

If you can't keep a handgun on target without tracers you have a problem.

Glow Ammo actually sells the sticky pads that you can stick on the back of the bullet when you are reloading. So you don't have to actually have to buy the cartridges. $50 for 255 stickers. Not a bad deal and those you should be able to buy from the US retailer since all they are is glow in the dark stickers but I would look into that because that is just my opinion. I would look for a Canadian retailer first.

How about just for fun? That good enough reason for you?
 
You'll never know what a bullet does after it hits something until you shoot tracers.

Very good for learning ballistics and ricochets.
