Hi, I have an AR-7 from ca. 1962 that has one-side of the stock broken. It's the 2nd style Stock from Armalite, having the 'Brownish Swirl Pattern' after the first being just 'Solid Brown'. It's the part that surrounds the receiver with a couple of 'Ears', one of them is broken. I tried LePage Superglue Gel, after cleaning it well but it only lasted a couple of trips out - I only shot it to verify zero/hold-over so not a lot of use. It's otherwise in v-good condition.
I've only found one reference to the 'sorta actual' composition of the stock, it being referred to as 'Cycolac'. That's why I thought S-glue would hold, being a cyano-acrylate type bonder but evidently not the right composition.
Anyone have the "Real" composition or a good suggestion ? The only other idea I've found (elsewhere) is to try a good epoxy, but I'm saving that for last, hoping to get anything definitive before going that route.
Thanks for looking,
Buck

I would try an aircraft grade epoxy mixed with a matching dye. Also surface prep is key. You have yo remove all contaminants and scratch the surface.

Take it to a plastic tote box manufacturer or retailer
They have plastic welders for repairing totes

Contact these people.... https://plasticworld.ca/
I was there about 7 years ago for some Delrin and they had more types of adhesives and cements for more types of plastic than I could
imagine. If you are local bring in a sample so they can properly ID the type of material. If they can't help you nobody can!
