Ive got some cash burning a hole in my pocket and depending how a federal election turns out I may want to buy one before the idiots come to power.

Anyone have a GM6 Lynx and care to give a report on it? There seems to be a few members here with the serbu .50s who have posted about them cant find any on the other semi auto .50. I know its a stretch for anyone to own this rare piece but there has to be someone.

If you get one, let me know. I have interest, but won't be able to buy unless I start saving now and plan to buy before the NEXT election... lol

From my understanding, most the semi auto .50s are not all that accomidating to longer projectiles you would use to enhance accuracy and for the most part you are limited to .50 BMG ball ammo.

Someone may correct me if I am wrong

ALL mag fed 50s suffer from the fact that the mags are too short. They function fine with ammo made to military length, but that then leaves you a LONG way off of the lands when you employ a decent bullet like the Amax, which in turn pretty much deletes any true accuracy potential.

My Nemesis 50 cal is very capable of .5 MOA or better IF I run the ammo seated out so that the Amax comes close to the lands, this leaves .500 " sticking out beyond what the mag will accommodate. When seated to mag length so that the rifle functions properly in a mag use situation the rifle then becomes 1.25 MOA capable.
Fortunately the Nemesis come with a single shot follower so I can easily run the long ammo, this would not be the case with a semi auto.

Not having any experience with the GM6 another question I would have that is of no consequence for the military users is how badly does it beat up casings? With the cost of casings being fairly high to have them beat to hell from shooting would be less than desirable.
In a battle situation that this rifle is designed for, it matters not, but to most of us civies it does as the government is not covering that cost.
