Yup, discontinued & replaced with the CX line. FYI, the CX bullets are amazing for hunting. I switched from ELD-X to the CX with awesome results. Here's a load I came up with on a 165gr CX for my old Savage Axsis 30-06.Hornady GMX bullets?
Anyone care to comment on them?
Hunting applications……..deer.

The GMX is the original CX. They are an exceptional bullet if velocity is maintained for expansion. They will kill anything you want to hunt. I have a load developed for a 300WSM that frequently does one and done flop shots including a big bull moose. Cheers
My 165gr CX in 30-06 is running 2775fps &I know where there are some for reasonable $$.
Thinking of using for my 7-30 Waters.
What velocity do these prefer?
any word on the reasoning?Cx is the the evolution of monometal from Hornady

new alloy? shape?
I used the 139gr GMX in my 280Rem. They shot quite accurately once loaded close to or at book maximum. I still have 40 or so loaded to go I think.I know where there are some for reasonable $$.

thanksI believe same alloy as GMX (95 copper 5% zinc), the Cx has the heat shield tip used in the ELD line, and they've tweaked the relief groove geometry for less drag
