I picked up a 30-06 at a gun show and when I shot it for the first time (MFS ammo) I ran into flattened primers and gas leaking around the bolt. It sure as heck looks like the ammo was simply really hot for some reason but I don't think it would be a bad idea to check out the headspace on the gun.

Does anyone have a set of gauges for the 30-06, the Go and No-Go that I would be able to borrow or rent for a day or two?

I know there are a few gunsmiths around but I live 45min south of Ottawa and come in to work really early, if I can get away with not having to make another trip in on the weekend to see Jason or leave the rifle in my care all day it would be ideal.

Thanks a lot
