Did some tinkering with the time off. Added a pound to my 300wsm. About 8.75 lb now. Not going for goats so no big deal. Foam filled the back of the stock get rid of that hollow sound, full glass bedded and free floated the forend. Made a shell holder with a small raised cheek rest. As its my first attempt I use some scrap I had laying around. Inlaid the for end with leather,((the part I went toooo far on.))#I'll try to darken it see if it looks any better, if not I'll redo it. Set a head stamp in the grip cap.#

Corona, might be a befitting name , especially if you put a round or two in a tasty critters lungs come hunting season .

I don't really know, pricked up a suitcase of leather stuff at a yard sale. 2 to 4 oz chrome tanned pre punched, as you can see where the case necks down it's supper stretchy. I've never found anything like it since.

Chrome tanned don't seem have a reaction to brass if you leave them in, vegetable tan will carode brass if left in, and almost zero stretch.

Too many years as a bowhunter worrying about scent... those attachments looking like gun oil trapping scent wicks... but we gotta kill time by doing something.
