After hunting for over 20 yrs I have finally seen WILD TURKEYS for the first time. The locals had told me a couple years ago that turkeys have started poppin up in the area but I never seen any. Yesterday on my way to check out my deer stand I saw these guys movin along someones front property on there way to the woods behind his house. I counted at least 35-40 of them. I thought it was pretty ironic since Thanksgiving was a day away.

We have been able to hunt them in BC for a couple years now. Currently, I am not much of a turkey hunter, but it might be something to look into. Who could pass up a chance to go the Kootenays or the Okanagan for a hunting trip?
Hmm, I believe it is currently open season on turkeys in parts of Region 8.

Game In Quebec.

THOSE GOOBLERS LOOK GREAT. I WAS BROUGHT UP ON ISLE PERROT, A FARMING ISLAND OFF THE WESTERN END OF MONTREAL. HAD ONE ROAD THAT RAN AROUND THE ISLAND(ABOUT 25 MILES) and the core was bush. full of grouse and snowshoe rabbits. had fox and i saw in many years, only one deer. was talking on the phone to some friends in STE.ANNE DE BELLEVUE (WESTERN TIP OF MONTREAL ISLAND) they tell me the place is literally overrun with deer, where 25 years ago, you never saw a track. some times things do get better. Enjoy your turkey. POPS
