Going price for Zinc

Got some pails of wheel weights, will be a lot of zinc I have no use for. Does anybody have a use for it? I suppose I could sell it to a scrap metal, anybody know the price of zinc these days? Could trade it for another pail of wheel weights maybe.

Around .80-.90 cents/lb....but price will be up next year..

I have read, a while back, that some reloader had a ton of zinc and decided to cast plinking rounds with it and they had no issues at all, great for the range. Has anybody here done this ?? It would be great to find a use for it somehow .

You need a lot higher temperatures than lead for good zinc casting. Guys in the states make cannon balls out of them.

Going rate at the scrappers is about $0.35/lb
