After purchasing the Magnum Research .22 Mag Lite, I can't get over how "Lite" it really is. I love it!

I built this beauty of a 10/22 and am not a huge fan of the weight... Keep in mind at the time I did love the heavy barrel.

My new plan is to change out the GM Barrel and Opt for the 16.5 VG Carbon Fibre. Then replace the old Tasco for a Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40.

Everything on the rifle now is basically VQ... TG 2000 Trigger Assembly, Firing Pin, Ejector, & Handle. I as well have a chamfered bolt, tuff buffer, blued bolt, & polished reciever.

I did have P&D put a butt pad on as well. This is an older pic...

Barrel minus the threaded end...

It shoots really nice groups..... ( I don't know why I never took the time to make the 1/2" group challenge as much as I wanted too... ) I just love the weight of my new .22 mag and would love to have my .22 lightened up!!!!!

I almost bought a .22 WMR VQ but went with the MR instead. SO I figure this rifle is 90% VQ why not go with their barrel as well.

Merry Christmas to me! lol

Tomorrow I'm going to buy the VQ 12.375" Threaded Carbon Fibre Barrel with a VQ SS Forward Blow Compensator. I was going to go with the 16.5" carbon barrel, but really like the look of the barrel with the compensator!

Well it's my wife's gift to me! So now all I will need is a new scope rail and the Nikon ProStaff!

I'm really looking forward to this!

It arrived today!!!!! Merry Christmas!!! Looks amazing and altogether is 3" shorter than the GM fluted barrel. It was everything I expected!

The weight distribution is now all towards the rear...

I"m undecided if I will keep the stock receiver or go with a VQ one. I'm going to research how to refinish them IF possible.

I hope it shoots as good as it looks!!!!!

I have the nikon scope on my 10/22 and after me and some friends went out gopher poppin they all switch to the nikon as well amazing scope for the price.

You may want to look at a Dlask receiver for your 10/22, integrated base should be a nice feature to have.

I will... I called Source for Sports in Bonnyville, and they have a ss VQ receiver for $700...... I just can't do that.... I mean I've spent a ridiculous amount of $$$ but I can't spend $700 on a receiver!!!!!

Get the Dlask DAR22 receiver... it is very well engineered and the best deal on a 10/22 style receiver available... and Joe stands behind his products.

Today, I called Dlask, and was the first person to purchase one of thier DAR Sterling Receivers with the first time tried new coatings similar to powder coating. I can't remember the term he used, but they spray it then bake it. I'm super stoked. Now to figure out exactly what scope to mount.... I'm tossed on this issue. I'd like BDC and figure the Nikon P22, but am going to start researching now....
