Well it was a sucessfull first day. We got one 8 pt bull this morning. My cousin's license. we got into the area at 7:12 am and mr moose was down by 7:17. Not even a km from where the area starts. About 200 yds 1 shot from a tikka 270 with a remington core lok 150 gr. He went about 10 feet into the woods and thats where he stayed. Going to try and get mine tomorrow morning. Pics to follow. Anyone want to give up their e-mail as I have no clue how to post pics.
Got mine yesterday :mrgreen: :mrgreen: A 6 point bull. Not quite the trophy I was looking for but getting a bit too expensive. He was back in the woods about 60 yrds with just his head and back sticking up. Fired one hit him in the hump, he then started to run across the bog. 1 more shot 150 yrds on the run right through the front shoulder and he dropped on the spot. Shot with a weatherby vanguard (Japanese made) 30-06 and winchester 180 gr. silvertips.

good job on your moose.
i think the silvertip bullets the better "cheep" bullets and i use em for everything from deer to moose.

cityhunter.. we had 3 sets of tags here for my family. we got 2 and my father has his left but is waiting for a while to get his. this weekend I'm off to Northwest Gander with da wifes uncle to try and find his. I'm making the most of my vacation.
