Was curious if anyone has experience with these, will the new br#####h mounts for the model 92 fit the contour of the older rifles? This an older one, no drilled and tapped holes, I am sure the barrel is thick enough to have a smith do it for me , just curious if anyone knows?

Rossi Puma(I think, no markings saying what model it is) in 44 mag 16 inch barrel SS

There is a problem with my front sight, it slopes due to a poor dove tail grove. If shouldering the gun, it sloped down from left to right, making the blade angle to the right. I bought it years ago, and would have to send it to Quebec (That I have to pay for) Just to see if warranty covers it.

I have never actualy seen one but I have been told that on some of them when you remove the rear sight it is all ready drilled for there rail

It might not be on all models / year ???

Mount was in the back of the Catalog under accessories

I just had mine D&T (older .454, not pre-drilled).

I ordered the correct scout mount from Amazon for about 15 bucks and had a smith D&T it.

I did not do it exactly like the factory D&T though, as the mount fitted the contour of the barrel better about an inch or two closer to the muzzle, and this would have put one of the mount holes right in the rear sight dovetail, which obviously was a no-go. So I went with two holes at the rear (in factory mount holes) and one at the front (in a mounting hole we drilled and then countersunk for the screw head).

Hope this helps.

Any chance you can post a picture?

So it was the br#####h mount? Yeah thanks, it helps a lot , just wanted to know its possibility before actually ordering the mount, I also like the idea of 3 holes instead of 4, as the 4 that are already drilled in the mount are all on the rear most part of the mount itself.

Mind if I ask what scope you are going to run? Also, I couldnt seem to find the mount on amazon, was it amazon.com? not .ca ?

IF you could post an exact link or web address of what mount you got, that would be awesome man, thanks. The only one I ever see on there says it wont ship to canada.
