Went to the Brooks IPSC event with my brother, for one to see him compete and two, get a feel for the events/stages etc.

I have a glock 34, and have been practicing with it for awhile, and just bought a belt when I was in Edmonton for the day trip.

Ordering my holster and mags, and mag pouches soon online.

And I must say, I've been looking forward to getting my black badge, and going to the match gave me another incentive for getting it ASAP.

Very excited to get started in the sport.

Yeah I debated about it, but the way I see it is, even if I was production or standard it doesn't matter really, the pros (. If they wanted could be in production ) and do well. So it's all about skill. But this is to practice with and learn the game so I can eventually move on to open.

Yeah, the gun you have isn't as important as practice. You'll still have just as much fun in standard as you would in production if you're not going to be fast enough to win it wouldn't matter either way. Once your skill and experience is there, then you can consider buying a new gun, or adding upgrades that are standard legal to your glock 34. For what its worth, the Glock 17 is the same gun, just slightly shorter barrel, and would be production legal.
