Good Anschutz gunsmith

I've got some misfire problems with an Anschutz 1827; it fires consistently well on federal but misfires about 2 times out of five on lapua. I've tried the obvious thing including cleaning, new spring, and need to check if the headspace is out. I live in northern BC and we don't have many gunsmiths here anymore. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith who really knows annies?

Did you play with/remove the trigger recently? If so, did you put it back in the most-rearward position?

Had a similar problem with a match 54.

No, I didn't touch the trigger but i just acquired the rifle so maybe the previous owner did. I'll take a look; will it be obvious if its forward or back all the way? I am just getting to know this rifle.

As far as I know, the bolt comes apart pretty easily, maybe try swapping the firing pin spring with a stiffer one.....?

I'm not familiar with the 1827 action/trigger... but on the older 54, you have about 1/8" to play with...

Also, have you check the face of the chamber for peening?
