Good Article on Greco-Turkish War Weapons

Great info, thanks.

I have an interesting Turkish M1890 in the original 7.65 that has been converted into a carbine and appears to have been issued to the Greek Forces, part of the large numbers of Turk weapons captured/used by the Greeks.

I love the Turk stuff as well - I have a M1887, M1893, M1903, various M1938's, and a Turkish Forestry Carbine of course.

"...Greco-Turkish War Weapons..." They've been fighting each other since before. Turks were called Persians at one time. They're still fighting over Cyprus.

Very nice, good to see the old girls like the 1903 and Gew 88s get some of the spotlight.

I love my 88.05s, every one of them has been to Turkey and some show they have "been there and done that". It makes me wonder if even one of them fired back at Greek soldiers in the 1920s or perhaps was at Smyrna when the city was burned ? Sadly, I'll never know for sure.
