In Saskatchewan most BPCR shootes are using Shilo Sharps or C. Sharps. A few of us are using original rolling block actions with new barrels and stocks. There are a few Pedersoli type guns as well. When this sport first started here, there were more Pedersolis being used. A lot of shooters graduated to C. Sharps and for a while they dominated. A considerable number of serious shooters now have all changed to Shilo Sharps. Most shooters started out with 45-70 calibres as this is the most common and generally fairly versatile. 40-65 were the next rage and there still are a lot of them being used. Some of the serious shooters (some who also may be into long range) have gone back to 45-70 and 45-90. There are a few 38 cals now showing up but have yet to be proven winners.
