I want to get a rifle coated with something weatherproof but not sure the best way to go,I have heard of parkerizing ,powdercoating and tefloning what are the +/-'s. Is there one that coats even the small parts in the trigger assembly?

The most "weatherproof" finish I have had done was with a Powdercoat and Teflon combination finish. The exterior is powdered and the finer working parts are teflonned, it should be stated that the trigger parts that are close fitting cannot be done because of the surface thickness imposed by the teflon, only non critical areas. The powder coating is tougher but it can only be done on exterior parts because it is thicker than the teflon. Prairie gun works does my work and they have alot of experience and advice for the various finishes.
