I got a couple new jugs of H335 for loading 223 ammo. I load 62 gr bullets for 11 Mossberg bolt rifles.

I loaded the last jugs as 24 gr and wanted to check this lot of powder, just in case there was a big difference. (The previous jugs were not cannister grade H335).

So I took two rifles to the range and shot each with 23.7, 24 and 24.3 gr, to see f there was a suggestion of the best load. Both rifles gave me a clear answer. The hotter the load, the tighter the group.

I am tempted to try 24.5gr, but the hotter weather in the summer will do the same thing.

Presuming you mean 24.3 rather than 34.3, before someone tries it!
I don't believe you can get 34.3 grains of H335 into a 223 case.

I went to 25.1 grains of H335, with the SS109 62 grain bullet in my Tikka T3X, which fills the case enough for slight compression, even with the relatively flat base bullet.

It's definitely close to max and I'm using magnum primers for ignition.

But it gives me the best accuracy with the 1-8 twist barrel.

I use it all through the year. I don't shoot when it gets to hot, but you can't predict the weather on a match date.
