I just happened to be in the right place at the right time! A local C.T. was changing hands and blowing out stock at some great prices. I picked this up bnib for $409.00!!
VERY happy with it! That is an old Bushnell Legend (Philippines glass) on it and I have been shooting off the bi pod. It is insanely accurate with ELEY tenex, but I really need to find something more reasonably priced!

Can Tire sells rifles that aren't air-powered (in Ontario, at least)? I had no clue.

Here in BC they carry powder and accessories in some stores, but that's about it - and good luck getting a salesperson that actually knows much...

It depends in Ontario. I have two CT stores within 5-10 min drive from my home. One sells only airguns, no firearms at all and the other has a full spectrum of firearms in stock. If I understand it correctly, individual CT stores work like a franchise and whether or not a certain CT store sells firearms depends on the manager.
 
I have had really good luck with Federal target in my 455. Not as accurate as the Eley but at 5$ a box it fits the bill.
 
My rifle is nearly identical and the best group at 50 yds. was .70 with TENEX.
Next day used Lapua CenterX and the first group at 50 was 0.26 and later in the day a 0.45 at 100 yards.
Just amazing how different two rifles can be.
 
It was the only one they had left. Ran a couple of patches through it when I got it home and started shooting. Trigger was a bit heavy so went with a lighter spring that I picked up at fastenal...now has a nice light pull.
