Good deal on Remington 597

I don't want to re-start the old 597 vs 10-22 debate but I got a great deal on a 597 yesterday. I bought the gun at Wholesale Sports for $169 and got a Remington $25 mail in rebate coupon from the Cabela's web site. I'll let you know how it shoots and we'll see if the reputation these guns have for FTE and FTF apply to this one. Here's a link to the coupon if anyone is interested.

I took the Remingotn to the range today and shot 300 rounds through it. The first few clips I had a few FTE's but after that it cycled perfectly and shoots laser straight. I even bought 1 of Remington's 30 shot clips and it works great too. The ammo I used was American Eagle 40 gr solids and they work great in the gun. They also shoot dead straight in my CZ. 1 weird thing I found is that I can only get 9 rounds in the 10 shot Remington clips and only 25 in the 30 shot one. Other than that I have no complaints.
