Good deal??

Well, a new R93 in the least expensive configuration (Professional, i.e. synthetic stock) usually sells for over $3100. The Blaser scope mount base only (no rings) is $565 on Wolverine's site right now (no indication as to whether this is for the QD version or not), and the last time I saw rings they were just under $300. I have no idea about the case, but it ain't gonna be cheap.

So, assuming the gun is in excellent condition, I'd say this is a great deal. I admit I'm biased; I'm a Blaser fan in general, and think that the R93 specifically is one of the finest hunting rifles available. If you don't like it (anything is possible...), you won't lose any money selling it.

Ardent - had a Mauser 96 (1996) straight pull that I gave to my brother and it really is a love/hate thing. I actually like them.

The other thing that is important to check is the actual model - they came in many versions.

I have one I bought back 9 years ago when they were 2100. The mounts were 300 and rings 200. It was in .308 then I added a .257 Bee barrel. Both barrels are amazingly accurate, return perfectly to zero when swapped ( need a second set of scope mount and rings) and this rifle has the most amazing trigger. There is nothing crisper.
