Good deer areas near Lac Du Bonet?

Nopiming Park
Lots of deer there though I don't know the area too well for hunting.... Done lots of fishing there tho ! There is tons of places to hunt north of there on the way to Bissett. If your wanting to know drop in to Drifters and chat with the owner....Very nice guy and he could probably give you a # of a local hunter that could give you a little guidance. Also if you head to Birdlake, drop-in to Nopiming lodge and talk with Blaine. Just mention Rob O'neill said you should talk to him. He will give you the straightgoods on where to hunt up there. Thick bush but plenty of remote lake roads to hunt around that area. A little scouting in late summer and you should be able to a couple of stands up in these areas...ready for deer season.
I hunt 2 hours north of Winnipeg in the Mantag area...... not crazy amount of deer but the ones you drop are always around the 200 lb. mark.
Keep my post name and if you luck out finding anything....drop me a line....I have a friend of a friend that I could call who lives right in Lac Dubonnet and he could set you up with someone in the know.

The Milner Ridge area becomes a war zone opening day of the deer season. If you value your life, stay as far away from there as possible. I kid you not.
Chicken hunting is another story though!
X2.Same with the power line that runs through Mars hill Wma.I have hunted on the east hill get there 1/2 before daylight only to have 1/2 a dozen hunters setup every 150 yards down from me.Too spooky for me I just leave.
