Good Eotech mount for carry handle AR?

I've used an Arms 39 mount successfully with an A2 upper

Theres also the carry handle scope mounts:

Theres many varieties. These work fine but your sight winds up high above your irons (which are still useable).

I just did a quick google search and it appears that the ARMS 39 A2 does not allow you to co-witness with an Eotech. The base of the EOTech is too high - completely blocks the front post. If you mount the EOTech on the 39A2 with throw lever(s) then you can easily get it out of the way if you want to switch to iron sights.

+1 Can't beat A.R.M.S. Don't know if you can co-witness an Eotech with it though... assuming you want to.

 where you gettin' your uppers from? Cheaper than $135 (cost of A.R.M.S. 39)? Sweet deal...

Might end up cheaper in the long run as it will not limit your ability to change the setup of your rifle in the future if you desire...

You can put an ARMS #2 on the carry handle - it put the EO very high (works well with a gas mask though) - and the irons are still visible below.

My primary recommendation is to get a Flatop upper.

With removable carry handles on flat top uppers, i don't know why people still chose regular, fixed carry handle uppers.

I agree. This is one those old school rifles from the time before the flat tops were available. I'll mull over the options. I was thinking of the changeover to a flat top, but was wondering if there were some other options. Thanks for all the responses.

I hope i wasnt coming off harshly. It wasn't my intention. If i were you, I'd just buy a flat top upper and be done with it.

Fixed carry handle rifles have a kind of KISS coolness to 'em, but when it comes time to mount an optic, why screw around with add on mounts to the carry handle?

Not harsh at all. If I were buying a new rifle I would definitely go flat top. I was just trying to see what my options were with the rifle in current form. Like I said, all good responses.:)

Why buy a new rifle when you can build up another upper receiver for the lower you already have? Think two guns in one;)
