Howdy all.
Just completed my restricted and non-restricted firearms course with my girlfriend and plan on taking the CORE next week. Looking forward to getting into the shooting sports and maybe a bit of hunting.
Look forward to conversing with more of you guys and girls. :)
 
Welcome. Please join the NFA, CSSA and your local wildlife federation. These are the organizations who are working to ensure that you are able to get into the shooting sports and "maybe a bit of hunting". I am a member of the NFA, CSSA, Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, and the Conservative Party of Canada. All for less than 2 cups of coffee per week at wherever one buys his/her coffee. Harper's vow to end the Long Gun Registry came about because of efforts by the NFA, CSSA, provincial wildlife federations, and many individuals who frequent this site. Welcome but please get involved.
 
I live in Mission, B.C., and yes, I plan to join my local gun club which also includes a membership in the CWF. I will look into the recommendations of the other organizations.

I am attending an IPSC match this weekend in Abbotsford. I think my little lady might be interested in that end of things. :)

Hey SpideRider. Again, welcome aboard. Maybe I sounded a little too strident in my earlier comments. I didn't mean to be and apologize if they seemed a little harsh. I've been around long enough to have had the experience of purchasing a (long) gun without any kind of licence and have seen the erosion of our gun rights by the antis. For this reason alone, I sincerely believe that we need to stick together and have a strong voice.
