T-3s don't seem to be very fussy at all about what you feed them. I'd bet that just about any factory ammo of appropriate bullet weight will shoot well once you get your rifle.
Agreed in fact winchester standard 180 soft points would sling 3 in an inch and winchester ammo in general would shoot well in all my T-3s , 7mm, 308, 222, 338, 308 and 30-06. These darn guns just shoot.
Wife's ss/laminate .308 fired a 3-shot <.400" group with Hornady Light Mag 165 grainers for me brand new. I'm not the greatest shot off sandbags but I was so impressed I don't even consider loading for it. Most accurate out of the crate rifle/factory ammo combo I've ever seen in a hunting gun barre none.
thanks for the info everyone.
With the 1-11 twist would the 165g be about right?
I know it depends on many other factors but as a rule should the 150-160's shoot better with that twist?
let me know what you think.
