Good ghost ring sights vs T1/ Eotech/ Sparc

Looking to hear some thoughts on this.

On my AR platforms I'm very quick to pick up the dot on my T1s. Guys who have tried both good ghost ring sights and red dots like T1/Sparc/Eotech what has worked best for you and is a red dot truly practical for you on a shotty?

My use in question here is clay shooting and 3 gun not for hunting and so on...

I can't really think of a situation that doesn't work well for the red dot beyond dead batteries and perhaps a very bright day on a glacier......you don't see them much on the trap line but if the reddot is comfortable and comes to the eye well with the gun I can't see it being a problem?
