I found it was better to have your stuff you want to load with, all set up, then have a friend show you what the hell you are doing. Nothing beats actual in your face demos. I know for me i would probably still thinking about it if i didnt have it shown to me. Try to find someone who knows how to do it already, who is close by to give you pointers.
Read the suggested books, youtube it then do as jdman suggested, get a mentor. Books n video will give you knowledge but a mentor will give you knowledge and most of all...confidence to get everything set up and running. Enjoy
That's my take on things, I mostly need to learn the finer details.Reloading really isn't the rocket science some would make it out to be. Open book, read instructions, become knowledgeable, use information for load data (staying within the boundaries), follow the steps step-by-step, and it'll be safer than eating your dinner with a fork.
