good low priced hunting scope recommendaton needed

A value priced option would be a used Bushnell Elite 3200 or 4200 off the EE... 3-9x40 or 4-12x40

Not sure what the 3200 & 4200 equate to with their new line, but I have a Bushnell Engage 4-12x40AO on one of my rimfire & I like it...

Leupold VXII 3x9-40 in the EE for $350.
As much as I dislike Bushynull, a 4200 in the above #’s would be a great find.
I do know where one is.
 
I have a Sig Sauer Whisky 3 (2-7x32) on my Weatherby Vanguard 240wby - I think it was under $200 with taxes and shipping.
YOU don't need to spend a tonne of money

More info needed BC. On a CTR I’d assume you’re talking more long range. What are you hunting and how far are the shots.

If longer range and a magnification above 10x, I’d also recommend adjustable parallax. How about turrets, and reticle style.

I’d definitely buy used, and get the best you can afford. It’s as important, or more important then the rifle.

don't plan to shoot long range, just for hunting deer, bears,.. less than a 100 yards

That ^^^ or a 2.5-8! Even a 3200 is a decent scope and can be had for a good price! Same with older vxII-vxIII 2.5-8 you can get a really good scope for around or less than $500!!
 
recently picked up a "vison king " 1.5-6 x 42 on a 30mm tube on ebay for just over 80.00 shipped .... super clear and crisp , sharp images .

for 80.00 it seems on par for scopes many times the price .

it even had flip up lens covers ...

still waiting on rings to mount it and try it out
 
I like the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 with ballistic plex reticle. I see them on Amazon for only $214. I have two of them, and they work fine for deer hunting.

I don't see any mention of Vortex. No love for the Vortex scopes?
