Just a shout out to my fellow ONT duck hunters, hope everyone is having a fantastic opening morning. I didn't get out this morning, due to a 1.5 year old that decided to be up half the night...but this afternoon (after a nap of course) it is on!!.

How's everyone else making out??
 
Me and my 11 year old son got absolutely DRENCHED! But, we had a GREAT time, got 5 ducks, and my dog did a great job on all the retrieves. Just got done cleaning the birds, gonna have a nap and head out this evening to handle my dog for friend who will be doing the shooting this time.

We had 11 guys in 3 ponds on 1 property and made off with our full bag limit of woodies,mallards and 1 goose! What an awesome morning!
 
We hunted Hillman marsh near Wheatley. Shot ten ducks. Easily could have shot limits of teal but held off for larger species. The weather was great. Good opening day.
 
We hit a wood duck spot, got 3, Nos retrieved them all. Had some rain, but overall it was okay weather wise.

We heard very few shots anywhere near us, maybe 6... The area we hit is a goose spot but the majority of the fields have not been harvested yet, so no one is out & no one hits the stream for ducks... But we do! Good times!

We ended up hitting the big water for an evening hunt...The wind was crazy, but there were some fliers, but not much was willing to come within 30 yards for a peak at our spread.

We ended up getting one juvenile drake mallard, at least we didn't get skunked!
