Cross Draw Kid aka Hunter Wakelam from south central Ab. is junior a Cowboy Action shooter that has a very good chance at becoming the world champion junior shooter this weekend. In Feb. he won the U.S. Junior championship at Winter Range Cowboy Shoot in Phoenix. While he won that competition, because he wasn't a U.S. citizen, he received the winners trophy but not the SASS buckle. In this weeks competition since it is billed as the "world" championships he can receive the buckle if he wins. good luck Hunter!!!
As well a shout out to his dad "Donny Two Legs" for supporting his son in every way and getting him this far. This is the lads last year of eligibility to the junior class and I have every confidence that he has the ability to become a world champ at the adult level as well.
A bonus for us Canadians as well is that his demeanor & attitude in public makes this young man an excellent ambassador for our country & the shooting sport.
