hope you have good weather, a safe round trip, have fun and become more knowledgeable in areas you never wanted to be. it's the journey, not the destination, that's why we want to improve our own guns. I feel a kumbaya moment coming on. -excuse me.
Darn that was a great time. Lots of laughs and lots of learning. 6 people in a very intimate (read: small but comfortably toasty) classroom setting of Port Elgin Sportsmens' Club. What a great meeting for the day hosted by my pointman, theDuck. What a super chance to network, meet more M14 lovers and then hammer away by peening gas cylinder splines & flash suppressor splines.
We removed 4 flash suppressors using my Mac's Trail DVise mounted on the 2" receiver hitch of Creecher's Ram truck and away we went with the cold chisel and dead blow hammers! Yes we had a few of the hammers on hand to bash them flash suppressor units off. Real Bubba gunsmithing at the tailgate of a truck!
What else did you M14 lovers learn today?
Cheers and thanks for helping spread the M14 love to the noobs.
