good new bulk 9mm brass?

Well i'm almost geared up for mass producing 9mm. Only thing I need to source are components. Powder and primers can be had at a local shop for not too much over regular prices, and I will be casting the bullets.

All that leaves is the brass. I figure its best to go big or go home, so I am looking to buy new, thousand piece case.

I found a sponsor who sells Starline brass, but never heard of them. Anyone have any input on them?

Who else would have bulk brass?

Don't bother with new 9mm brass, just buy a 5gal bucket of 1F range brass and save yourself 50%.... But since you asked starline brass is decent stuff and 1000pcs can't be that expensive.

I just buy several thousand at a time 1F from the EE and clean it then run it thru my progressive... Think I paid $50 a thousand shipped last time.
 
Ask Henry at budget if he knows the source of his 1F 9mm, really tho I have some cases that have been loaded several times and they are still under trim length even with spicy 147gr loads in some of them.
 
I would see if you have an indoor range near you.. Should be able to buy 1000 once fired brass for $30 or so..

You really have no idea how many times its fired, but %95 of people don't bother reloading 9mm.
 
starline is excellent , but used 1/2/3 works just as well, i've got some mx 9 that's on it's 7th reload. 135 lead &/or 147 plated x 4.0 of 231
 
I would avoid buying new brass for any auto pistol cartridge unless it was something, for which you couldn't easily find once-fired brass, like 10mm. Practically speaking, it doesn't matter much even if some of the used brass has been used for more than one firing if there is nothing visibly wrong with it. You will lose cases most of the time before they are unusable due to neck cracking.

Starline is very well thought of. I just got some .38 Spec. from a chap here in Mission, Peter Riedel, DBA rustywood.ca. (Good gunsmith, too.)

Henry of Budget Shooters Supply in Surrey is also a great guy to deal with.

Fortunately I scored all the once-fired 9mm I'm ever likely to need a couple of years ago when the Cdn. Border guards were training up at the Mission range. There were buckets of the stuff after they were done.
