Just talked with Benchmark barrels today, heard they were making a barrel adapter. Turns out the are being sent for nitride coating and will be at there Canadian distributor in 45 days. This is good news as now we have options right here in Canada!! :dancingbanana:

They will be heading out to nitriding next week so your looking at about 45 day to be up at our distributers.

So now a proud SSG owner can spend more money- to buy an adapter- that makes the process of changing their barrel the exact same as pretty much every other rifle on the market that isn't built by Blaser?

That's a great idea!!
 
I just thought of this too- why not make a similar adapter for the Blaser R93 and R8! I think it would sell marvelously!
 
Adapters are available out of Denmark but it is great that we will have a local source. In the pic below the center barrel is a Shilen stainless chambered in 243 Win with the adapter. The barrel on the left is the standard .308 and the one on the right is a Sauer match barrel for the STR 200 in 6.5x55 :)

Any word on price for the Benchmark adapter?
