Range suprise today!!
I Bought a Brazilian contract S&W model 1917 chambered in 45 acp. It was originally issued in 1938 .
Took it out to the range today .... what a terriffic shooter !
Some Brazilian armourer did a fantastic job on this pistol. Double action in the 6-8lb range with single action around 3lb pull. At 25 yards point of aim was point of impact ...
The moon clips while a pain to fill initially are some slick for speed reloads. What a blast to shoot. I would reccomend this model for any one who is looking for reasonably priced 45 cal double action revolver.
