Mr.Idontknow,
It depends what you want to do with it. If you plan on doing some hunting you don't really want a scope with too much magnification, because this will reduce your field of view. On the other hand if this rifle is only for shooting tiny holes in paper you want the most magnification you can get (with AO is a +++). If this is a duel purpose gun, then you'll obviously need something in-between.
I am a strong believer that it is far better to save up and buy something of quality once, rather than to have to keep replacing something of petty quality. Keeping that in mind you don't need to throw a lot of money for an expensive scope for a rimfire.
I got by with a cheap bushnell rimfire scope (50$ value/rings included) for many years on a rimfire. I've also used a 1500$ Leupold Mark4 on the same said rifle. Did it make me shoot any better.... no not really, I just looked better doing it.
I remember your post in the precision forum, If accuracy is key a high magnification scope with AO is in order. A Mueller scope from e-b-a-y would do nicely on your rifle.
Give us more info, and it will help us give you better advice.
Cheers mate,
