Good Quality 1911 Mag?

Dont forget Ed Brown! I just went shooting last weekend and had a mix of mags...mostly Wilson Combat including their old style 10 rounders (which i like), Ed Brown, and a Chip McCormick that i picked up a day earlier. I like that some of them have numbers for a round count...and all functioned well

Wilson claims to be the best. I guess I’m lucky and never had issues with any manufacturer, even Norinco ran fine.

I’ve had the same 8-rd Wilsons with plastic followers for 30 yrs. with literally more than a thousand rounds through each mag. Still work with original springs.

My McCormick Shooting Stars have needed new springs and followers. I used Tripp 7-rd kits.

Have you received them from Brownells recently? Show restriction when I add them to my cart. So do Ruger 10/22 magazines.

Early 2018 I ordered some mccormick 10rd rpm magazines, I think the restrictions might show up for nearly all magazines now, since even some states have a capacity restriction.

I have no complaints about the mccormick rpm magazines, arms east has stock of 10 and 8rnd ones.
Previously I was using dlask and ruger magazines, honestly no issues with them either. If I was looking for 8rnd magazines I'd gladly buy some from dlask. Seemed like a great value to me.

I like that some of them have numbers for a round count..
I shoot ppc with my 1911, so that means only 6rnds in the magazine at a time, so round counts on the mags have been really welcomed.

The Kimber GI mags are pretty nice. I picked up 4 of them for WBAS and haven't regretted it. I hear from everyone that Wilson Combat makes excellent mags, so I'm surprised to hear an issue. I have a couple of Mec-Gar mags that work well too, including a 10 rounder.

Where did you get the Kimber GI mags? Thanks.
