does anyone know of a good quality (leupold, swarovski or similar) fixed 6x zoom scope with no more than 32mm objective with a rimfire type parallax, eg 60 to 75 meters???

i was going to get a leupold VX I 2-7x28 rimfire.. but i think i would only really use it on its full power (which is actually 6.6 i believe) as the 4x i have now is not quite enough for me.. so a fixed 6x should be stronger, and better optics for the same price..

thanks

.22 scope

Take a look at Tasco's 2.5 x 10 varmint scope--Parallex down to 7.5 yards--t-knobs--mildot--42 m\m obj. I got one on a trade deal--used it and bought another, both are on 10\22's.

Good Shooting

no, thats exactly what i dont want. that scope is neither fixed power, good quality, nor is it less than 32mm objective..

if i wanted adjustable magnification the leupold VX i 2-7x28 rimfire would do the job..

i dont put Tasco in the same quality league as Swarovski or even leupold...

to clarify, i want a fixed 6x magnification (zoom) with no more than 32mm objective lens, and preferably a fixed parallax to rimfire distances, eg 60 to 75m... id prefer not to have AO.

for instance leupolds rimfire scopes are parallax free at 60 yards, their centrefire scopes are parallax free at 150.

fixed 6x

I think Burris still makes their hunter/benchrest scope, it' a fixed 6x with a/o, I have an older one and I really like it, it is as clear or clearer than my leupolds. It has target turrets and I think the objective is 32mm, check out the burris web sight. I highly recommend it for a rimfire scope.

I would shop for a used leupold 6 in good condition and send it to the leupold warranty depot in Okotoks and ask them to set the paralax for you.

Leupold makes a Competition level 6x with an adjustable objective with both a target dot crosshair and a fine crosshair retical. The objective is 42mm instead of 32 as you are looking for. These scopes have target adjustments as they are intended for hunter class benchrest shooting.

Its another good option.

The weavers are a great value for money. Burris also makes a fixed 6x scope. I don't know what retical they come in

well ive decided i cant get what i want exactly, so im going to get a Schmidt and Bender 6x42 Classic.

just out interest with ordering scopes from the USA being so much trouble, why dont people buy them from the UK. when you knock of the UK tax they are generally a bit cheaper than the USA.

for instance the above scope at opticswarehouse.co.uk is about $650CAD delivered. from eurooptic in the states its $1200 usd...and you have lots of paperwork to get it here...
