good red dot for sks

I would look into the Bushnell TRS-25, it's pretty small, and much higher quality than the chinese garbage ones, but don't cost an arm and a leg like some of the high end ones.

+1 for the Bushnell TRS25

Are you sure the Bushnell is not made in China as well? Early ones were Japanese [B+L] ,Korean then China made.Quality in that order.

Good call man. The Trijicon is really nice, but I wouldn't feel right putting an optic that's worth 2-3 times what the rifle is worth.

Honestly, for a good budget red dot setup, the TRS25 is hard to beat. I'm super pleased with mine after mounting it to my Rem 870. When I get an SKS rail mount lined up, I'm picking up another TRS25.

Im running a vortex with the 2x magnification its holding up well to sks abuse

I put a bushnell trs 125 on one of my sks's, on o pro mag ( chromate style) receiver mount. Still can use the irons, and stripper clips no problem. in my opinion the best option. And the trs is made in China.

I have used both the SPARC and the TRS25.

I put a TRS25 on the BC Tactical mount that sits on the base for the SKS rear sight. Problem was that the SKS kicks brass up and forward, and on third shot it broke the rear lens. Waiting for Bushnell to send it back from repair.

I cut the required square notch at the rear of the ejection port. I hope that will solve the problem. Brass is going out low to 2:00 o'clock.
