Hi,

I am considering starting reloading for 7mm08 and 30-06. I would like to start small scale but want to avoid pitfalls like buying the wrong equipment. I am hoping you can direct me to some useful resources that can get me headed in the right direction. Also, if you were to start all over again and keep it to a minimum what items would be your go to buys and which do you regret?

Thanks

Buy a couple of reloading books, get a mentor, take a course.
There are some good deals on the EE.
I started on a friends Lyman, and got into my own when I bought a 44 Magnum that came with Pacific C-press, dies, and scale.
That was over 50 years ago and I now have enough gear to create two complete sets with spares.
The C-press is gone, replaced with two RCBS Rock Chuckers (one for the range); still have the scale, the 44 is gone.
By adding dies pretty well anything can be reloaded for.

Start with a single stage press. RCBS worked well for me.

Youtube is your friend.

It's CGN username greenbob or bobgreen. I never remember... He has access to a reloading library that he shares. PM him and discuss access.

Regrets... Don't buy plastic callipers.
