Hey guy's, I have some long range rifles and would like to know what 22 rimfire bolt gun do you use for training purposes in the off season. I think I am leaning towards the CZ series.
I personally use my 10/22 ruger but looking to buy a Winchester Wildcat (target version) these are in $200-350 range, these are supposedly made by Baikal, excellent accuracy and well made for the $$$
Nothing keeps me honest more then my Anschutz Superair 2002 Air Rifle. Shooting at 10 meters (prone).
For wind reading I use a Brno #4 with a Weaver T24 on top. Shooting at a distance of 100m it picks up very subtle wind changes. Looking to move back to 200m so that it will mimic the characteristic of my 308.
I use a Brno #4... Incredibly accurate rifle... easy to get tons of trigger time... I use it indoors during the winter... and at 50 and 100m in the summer... I got mine used off the EE.
Anschutz 54 and 64, Strella match rifle, rem. M37 prone rifle, BSA Int'l, they are all axcurate enouugh for competiitive shooting and shoot better than any man can.

I own a nice russian vostock bolt action 22. that I free floated and also did some custom work to the stock and action . the micrometer peep sights shoot real sweet .On a calm windless day 100 yard head shots on chucks are the norm.
I'm actually thinking of going the rimfire route too just too get more trigger time. I am also building a target .223, but rimfire is even cheaper to shoot. I'm trying to find something full size so it replicates a large hunting rifle to practice in the off season.
Put a heavy fluted Green Mt barrel on my 10/22. Balance is very close to my hunting rifle. Stock is a BC varminter type so feel is similar to the hunting rifle.
I have a mid 60s Anschutz 22rf with a 5 shot clip, great little bolt gun and with good ammo accurcy is 3/4" and less at 50 yds when I do my part.
Accurate enough for my homemade steel targets. My girls love to shoot it and they do every chance they get. They also like my 9422 just as much.

Anscutz 190's are most common in sporting rifle. Have 4 of them. Also have a heavy barrel BRNO No. 1, bedded with trigger work - v. accuarte. Anschitz 54 is very popular and also a standard.
Anschutz 54 action target rifle in prone stock
Remington 40x rimfire rangemaster
Walther KKM in standard or prone stock
CIL/Anschutz 190
Remington 541T HB
It's nice to have the extra weight of the top 2 for shooting off bipod or
a pack for simulation training and there's no question of accuracy.
