Good RMR review

I have thousands of rounds with my type 1 on my g17 and have never had one issue with it, I have never tested it like him though. I have shot many 124 +p and +p+ gold dot with no zero issues at all.

Same here. I have 5 different Type 1 RMRs mounted on various 9mm and .45 ACP handguns that have functioned without issue since I have owned them. All you have to do to avoid the dreaded "flicker" is bend out your battery contacts so that they make positive contact with the battery itself. That's it, that's all - problem solved before it could happen.

The Type 2 RMRs have better battery contacts and silicon-suspended electronics for extreme durability. It is highly unlikely that any of us will ever require the Type 2 upgrades, but given the choice logic says go with a Type 2 for the peace of mind. Once the supply of Type 1s is cleared out you won't have a choice any more. The Type 2 is the new basic standard.

Im in love with my Type 2 so far. Im still a horrible shot. but now I do it in style...lol...

Love how easy it is to rack off my belt when I practice 1 handed manipulations.
