Good scope for 17 HMR?

I'd like to upgrade the scope on my 17 HMR to something with more magnification than 3-9. Something in the 6-18 would be better. Has anyone tried the BSA Sweet 17? I don't need a Zeiss or anything, just something half decent that does the job. Would be nice to have the BDC reticle.

Don't settle. Spend the money and make sure you get an adjustable paralax.... or you'll be like me, 3 different scopes on my 93 before I was happy. Cabelas pine ridge (decent for the first 2k rounds then fell appart)... vortex viper DHBDC 3X9 (Nice but not enough zoom and not adjustable paralax)...


The third... I don't know I haven't bought it yet

Bushnell has a 6-18x40 in its rimfire line that is similar to the BSA option wise but its not a BSA.

If I remember correctly, BSA has no warranty center in Canada. If you read most reviews, you're likely to need that warranty at some point.

Sightron has been recommended to me numerous times in my search for the same thing as you. If I recall it is their STAC line.

I like the Cabela's multi-turret rimfire scopes. I've got one in 17 hmr and another in 17 wsm
I find them really clear and range adjustments fairly close
Wait for them on sale, but they are 3x9.. not what you want
