Im in the market for an ar15 but have looked through the dealers above but am having a hard time. This will be my first AR and dont want to break the piggy bank. What i am looking for is more of a varminter style AR with a 20-24” barrel. Looking to spend around 1500 max if thats even possible with what im looking for. Where can i find a good selection of AR 15? thanks

Williams Arms has a new DPMS Oracle (16" Lightweight 4140 Chromemoly barrel) for $695 (not what you asked for but just wanted to let you know another place that stocks AR15's).

Why don't you build one from scratch exactly the way you want? Failing that you could get a complete lower then just build a nice upper. What caliber were you thinking? .300 blackout? thought so ;) and better pick up some 10/30rd AR pistol mags before they disappear (.300 blackout works in the .223 mags, still 10 rounds).

For 1500 you could put together a real nice one yourself. Or theres usually some nice uppers on EE going for a deal. And then just purshase an assembled lower and you're good to go.

Oops sorry didn't realize everything i just said was posted right above. But i second everything in his post. Best route to go for sure

When purchasing a complete upper from the US, do you need to obtain an US export license as it includes a barrel? I've purchased an ATRS and am contemplating either parting out my colt h-bar or buying all new parts and building from scratch.

Nothing ordered from IRG requires you to get an export permit.

Barrels ordered from Brownells DO require one.

Every US retailer is different depending on what permits they hold.
