Good Shot Gun and Rifle

depends on your interests, what you want to do with it and how much you want to spend...assuming you're looking for a hon restricted my suggestion would be Remington 700 rifle and 870 shotgun :)

I'm no shotgun expert, but I picked up a used Winchester 2200 30" 12ga shotgun that eats 3" shells for $185. Only fired 5rds so far with 2 3/4" target loads. Never fired shotgun before so nothing to compare, but this thing has some kick. LOL!

If you're looking to do just plinking with a rifle on the cheap. Russian SKS and a crate of Czech surplus ammo, hands down.

As far as guns go.... You get what you pay for really, but on the rare occasion you get a real gem. Example. I bought a Norinco 9mm Tokerev for very very little. It was alright, but jammed a lot. (like 5 rounds out of 50) consistantly.
However I bought an ithica model 37 12gauge for $100 out of my gun club newsletter classified and its fantasic, in fact, flawless (so far) but I have put over 800 rounds through it since.
