Hey guys,

Could you tell me which movie(s) have the best shotgun scenes? I can't remember any one. Thanks.

By the way, I have never seen this one either.

Open Range, a great if underseen western has a great scene with Robert Duvall and a shotgun towards the end of a really well done gunfight.

For a slightly offbeat scene, check out Wild at Heart, for a pretty funny scene with Willem Dafoe and a shotgun in a bank robbery gone awry.

The Getaway (original) with Steve McQueen...

All three "Terminator" movies feature shotguns very prominently, most famously Arnie's one-handed use of a Winchester 1887 (lever action) in T2 (riding a motorcycle, etc.).

The "Mummy" movies have some good old-school shotgunning, including the 1887.

"No Country for Old Men" has some good scenes. Many people say the suppressed shotgun is not realistic though.

"L.A. Confidential" has a pretty intense shotgun scene.

"Aliens" reminds us why shotguns can come in handy when investigating in strange locals.

"Army of Darkness" is one of the all time classics.

Tim Sizemore in "Heat", a good guy to back you up.

The "Mad Max" movies, "Dawn of the Dead" remake, the "Miami Vice" movie, there are tons. Are you looking for a particular model of shotgun in a film Terry?

Wow...... Thank you for your input.

Just waiting for my Remmie 870 Police to arrive, and this is the type of #### I want to watch until the box hits my door.

I will check out some of the ones you guys mentioned.

Thanks again.

How the hell did you dig out this type of web sites!

It seems that there is a database for everything these days. If you are wondering about something (what kind of gun did that guy use in the movie?), thousands of other people are wondering the same thing - spread out as they may be. With the internet, it is easy to put together these things.

There was a great episode of "Tour of Duty" where Zeke returned to the A-Shau Valley (the Aw-$h!t valley in the parlance of the time); he had an Ithaca M-37 and the episode concluded with an incredible sequence set to the Jimi Hendrix version of "All Along the Watchtower"...

Awesome! That is a wicked site. I'll spend many a night looking at that before bed. :D

Yah that sight is pretty nuts. You can search by movie, actor, gun, tv show, anime, video game. It's tough to not spend too much time there.

The Canadiangunnutz should put their collective firearms knowledge to use building up that sight.

Also '3000 Miles to Graceland,' Kevin Costner & his team of 'Evil' Elvis dudes, SPAS 12.

The newest remake of 'Dawn of The Dead,' Ving Rhames, policeman & ex-marine weilding an issue 870, and a tricked out 870 later.

'Dead Presidents,' lots of Vietnam jungle shotgun play, and street gun battles later.
