Hey all,

As the title says,

What would you recommend for books and websites for reloading?

A couple things I'm looking for, OAL for cartridges, to see what would work in a 788.

Cartridges that are easy to reload, necking down from 308 to 25 and 24 calibre.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

Hard to argue with that offer!

For data I use Nosler and Hodgdon, and more recently I got a Speer book from the 90s I think it is. For the nosler data I just Google it - "270win nosler reloading data", etc.

Get the link from Greenbob, it has dozens of free load manuals there. Still have questions after that then search youtube. Even better get yourself a press and start actually doing it. Set up a die, deprime and resize some brass, play with it. You'll have it figured out in less time than it takes to ask questions on a forum. There is no better instructor than doing.

OAL for your 788 is what fits and feeds in that rifle.

The Nosler site is awesome for sure. My only complaint with it is that they use 26” barrels in most data. Which would make sense for some cartridges that normally use longer tubes ie 7mm STW or other but less sense for say the 7-08 or270. But still good stuff.

Suprised Hornady and others aren’t pumping their data online but I suppose it would have to do with money

One thing, I'm local to potashminer so he's going to show me the ins and outs of reloading.
