Looking to jump into longer range shooting but not breaking the bank and not doing any significant mods. The Range max is 300 yards but I would like to reach out a little bit further if I shoot on some crown land. I've been looking at the Savage Model 10 FCP-SR .308 Win 20" and 90% decided on that rifle. I'm not sure where to go with the Optics Vortex Diamondback Tactical 3-9x40 VMR-1 or Burris AR-7.62 4.5-14x42 C4 Wind MOA. Will the max magnification difference between the optics be a deal breaker?
