Good time of day. Does anyone own this rifle? If yes - where can I buy?

I do not know. That's why I asked. But maybe you're right, yet it is almost a copy of the Dragunov sniper rifle. But in Russia it is a hunting weapon.

- Welcome to Canada. All of that decadent freedom you heard about? Mostly propaganda. You might as well be asking to buy an FN-C1.

Actually he can have the sv-98 here......or really close anyways. Interammo in Edmonton (supporting dealer) sells the Record 338 which is a commercial sv-98 chambered in 338 Lapua. As long as you are wiling to shell out 4475 bucks

Actually the Tigr isnt a hunting rifle.. the Tigr was developed as a shorter version of the SVD for paratroops

a Dragunov is a Dragunov is a Dragunov

Agreed... sad part is that it's prohib as a "variant" of an AK... A dragunov is a Tigr is a dragunov... but it ain't an AK... Sadly our dear government doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground, let alone an AK from an SVD

closer you can get in our land of the "free" is a valmet M78 or hunter (which is based on the AK), or Medved rifle (which is somewhat loosely related to an Dragunov)

The closet rifle you an own to best match that rifle platform is this one from InterAmmo;

Click here for more info

There is also a rifle called a Valmet although it is rarely for sale on the EE and I have know idea about the specs on that rifle platform.
